2011 SEASONS:

GENERAL SEASON:
The general statewide season shall open on the second Saturday in November and extend for a period of 44 consecutive days.

Bag Limit: Two male pheasants per day for the first two days of the season. Three male pheasants per day thereafter.

Possession Limit: Double the daily bag limit.
Pheasant Hunting
ARCHERY SEASON:
The second Saturday in November extending for 60 consecutive days.

Bag Limit: Two pheasants per day for the first two days of the season. Three pheasants per day thereafter.

Possession Limit: Double the daily bag limit; not more than one female pheasant.

Shoot Time:
Shoot time is 8:00 a.m. to sunset daily.
Pheasant Hunting:
To hunt pheasant, you must possess a valid California hunting license and an upland game bird stamp. Hunters under the age of 12 may hunt if they have taken and passed a hunter safety course and possess a valid California hunting license.
Upland Game Bird Stamp: Upland Game Bird Stamps can be purchased at DFG offices or licensed agents. This stamp must be placed in the space provided on your California hunting license.
